The Snottepot
Louis is the Marquis' servant. The Marquis talks about the big party. Now the Marquis, named Uncle Kees, has asked Lodewijk to make a nice piece of cake for all guests. What did Louis do.. He made a sand cake for all guests. Now someone has to go to the bakery for the marquis to get a large cream cake. Then comes Aunt Kakel.
She tells the children about the marquis' feast. She has a gift for the Marquis. Because the children are her friends, they can see the gift. Aunt Kakel takes a large cauldron from her house. She tells the children very softly, otherwise the Marquis will hear what is in the cauldron. Uncle Kees, the Marquis, loves pancakes, the kettle is full of pancake batter. She tells the children to call the Marquis and tell him that the cauldron is full of batter.
The Marquis is so nice that he bakes a pancake for all the children. When the children call the marquis and tell them what is in the cauldron, strange things happen. But as in a real story, everything ends well again.
